Hip # 122 OFF TO WORK (AR)

Bay filly foaled March 4, 2023

(Outwork x Take It Off, by Goldencents)

  • By Grade 1 winner and Grade 1 sire OUTWORK, a precocious 2yo winner in a maiden special weight at Keeneland, and winner of the G 1 Wood Memorial at 3

  • Sire of nearly 30 stakes horses from 5 crops of racing age (9% of starters).

  • Sire of Grade 1 winning filly LEAVE NO TRACE – a maiden winner at Saratoga first time out and winner of the Grade 1 Spinaway next out before finishing her juvenile season off with a second in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies; she picked up her fourth win this year at four when taking the Grade 3 Vagrancy in May in time just 1 ½ seconds off Coronado Quest’s 27-year-old track record. Her earnings stand at $749,450.

  • Sire of a second winner of the Grade 1 Spinaway in BRIGHTWORK, winner of 4 of 6 starts at 2 last year and just over $500,000; she’s back on the worktab at Saratoga in preparation of her 3yo debut.

  • First crop included OUTADORE, winner of 10 races and $998,238 to date. A $290,000 and a multiple stakes winner, OUTADORE was third in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) at Keeneland.

  • Current 2yos include 1st out MSW winner at Belmont at Aqueduct, WAR TAX.

  • Average earnings per starter currently at $53,054 – 5x his stud fee

  • First foal out of a winning mare by hot young sire GOLDENCENTS, a son of leading sire INTO MISCHIEF, and himself currently sitting in 3rd on the general sire list with runners including Kentucky Derby victor MYSTIK DAN.

  • Dam is a half-sister to juvenile stakes winner MIDNIGHT MOJO.

  • This filly’s third dam is BRISTOL PISTOL, who won or placed in 10 stakes and 20 of 28 starts overall, for earnings of over $500,000. She is the dam of Grade 3 winner ICE BEAR, winner of the G3 Eclipse Stakes at Woodbine over that year’s champion older male in Canada, Marchfield. ICE BEAR amassed earnings of $881,178, winning 9 times and placing another 14 times.

  • BRISTOL PISTOL is a great-granddaughter of LEGENDRA, foundation mare of the fabled Newstead Farm of the Hardin family in Virginia. The Newstead dispersal in 1985 set world record prices for a broodmare, an unbred mare, a 2yo, and a weanling, and remains one of the most successful dispersals in history. Her descendants include MIZZEN MAST, SWEET ALLIANCE, SHAREEF DANCER, MRS. WARREN,

  • This filly’s 5th dam is MRS. PETERKIN – the 4th dam of the great ZENYATTA
