Highlander Training Center sits within easy shipping distance of nine major racetracks and our Fitness & Therapy Center offers a complete suite of rehabilitation modalities. At Highlander Training Center, we strive to produce winning horses through meticulous horsemanship, carefully balanced nutrition, complete veterinary care, and attention to detail.
TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
Here at Highlander Training Center, we are fortunate to have a team of skilled trainers, riders and grooms with years of combined experience in the thoroughbred racing industry.
Our proven program for the breaking and early conditioning of young horses provides each horse the physical and mental preparedness for the racetrack.
Attention to detail is also a standard of excellence at Highlander. Preventing small issues from becoming big issues is critically important when dealing with equine athletes. Our trainers, riders and grooms are focused on treating each horse as an individual, and providing them the individualized care they need to reach their maximum potential.

Highlander Team at Work & Play
"Every position at Highlander Training Center is so important and everybody plays such a critical role in the success of these horses and in the success of Highlander. Sure, we need great trainers. But we also need top riders, you know, breaking horses, there's a big difference between just being an exercise rider and being able to break babies, so we've got great riders here that have years of experience and really care about these horses." - Jeff Hooper, Chairman & CEO
